The artist, Sherrill Chapman, resides in League City, Texas, and enjoys painting in several disciplines (watercolor, oil, pastel, pen and ink, and graphite). She paints varied subject matter including portraits, Texas landscapes, florals, genre scenes, abstracts and “home portraits.”

At 14 years of age, Sherrill won a scholarship to Art Instruction, Inc., a correspondence art course. Later, while still residing in San Antonio, Sherrill showed her work at McNay Art Institute and was a member of the San Antonio Art League and River Art Group, exhibiting in many of their shows.

Sherrill enjoys membership in the Watercolor Art Society of Houston (WAS-H), Women in Visual and Literary Arts (WIVLA), Galveston Art League, Lawndale Art Center, Portrait Clubs of America, Portrait Society of America and Signet Artist Group. Her work can be seen in many private collections and business and government offices.
