Bonnie Hubly is a native Houstonian. She earned a B.A. from S.M.U. and an M.A. from Midwestern State University.

She began her career in 1973 as a graphic artist for McClurkans department store in Wichita Falls, Texas, drawing shoes for newspaper ads. In 2005, she retired as Director of Communications, University of Houston Bauer College of Business.

She created watercolor invitations and programs for The Blue Birds’ 2005 “Bunnies in Bloom” style show and 2006 “Night at the Copa” gala. She exhibited in the 2007 International Exhibition of the Watercolor Art Society – Houston.
