The 2019 42nd International Watermedia Exhibition (IWE) is Houston's premier watermedia-specific event. A once a year phenomenon, the IWE showcases the finest watermedia artists from around the world to address new and edgy techniques and create a global conversation. During the month of March 2019, participating artists will receive maximum exposure at our juried, month-long exhibit and have an opportunity to win generous awards from our sponsors. This year highly sought after Andy Evansen is the honorary Juror and Instructor. Located in the heart of the Museum District, WAS-H is accessible and a must-see while touring Houston's fine art establishments.

EXHIBITION DATES: 

Accepted entries must be received at WAS-H gallery: 3:00pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019

Juror Andy Evansen's Demo: Sunday March 3, 2019 2:15pm - 3:30pm

Awards Ceremony and Opening Reception: Sunday, March 3, 2019 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Juror Andy Evansen's Major Workshop: Monday March 4, 2019 - Friday March 8, 2019

The Art Party: Thursday, March 28, 2019 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Exhibition closes: Thursday, April 4, 2019 3:00pm

Paintings returned: Friday, April 5, 2019
