Artist Talks

At each General Meeting, and periodically at other times, WAS-H invites artists to do a live demonstration.  Attendees may ask the artist questions and it is an engaging way to see how art is made, learn different techniques and get to know the artist.

    Class:  10:00am-2:30pm

    Instructor:  Carla Gauthier

    Topic: Merging Nature and Architecture


    Carla Gauthier is the June Paint-In teacher. You will use a photo reference from Perugia, Italy and learn all the techniques to merge nature and architecture. 

    Items to Bring
    A) Regular watercolor supplies you commonly use.
    B) Good quality watercolor paper. 1/4 sheet or larger will work best.
    C) Sack lunch, snacks, beverage.
    D) Light sweater or jacket, might be cool in the class.

    Schedule
    09:30am - 10:00am: setup by attendees
    10:00am - 02:30pm: class – lecture, demo, and painting
    2:30pm: clean up
