Eight Weeks

Fluid, opaque, transparent, and varied; ink is a versatile medium that artists have used for centuries.  Comprised of solvents, pigments, resins, and other materials, ink can be applied with a pen, a quill, a brush or alternative tools. This 8-week course will examine the history and practical application of ink as a fine-art-medium to be used alone or in conjunction with other water media.   Experts from Dromgoole’s Fine Writing Instruments, via Zoom, will work closely with the class to demonstrate alternative ways of using writing tools and inks in the painting process.
