It's a full-moon - the perfect time to join us for a 3-hour journey that will combine the healing properties of singing bowls and creative exercises to bring out your inner artist!  The bowls will encourage a state of relaxation and the painting exercises will inspire you to follow your inner spirit as you make your art.

We will start the session by opening our supply kits and doing a few simple exercises to get familiar with the paint.  Then the lights dim, and we get ready to relax starting with a guided mediation led by our Sound Therapist, Kristine Hari Shabad.  At the appropriate time, the quartz bowls will begin to sing.

As the bowls play, vibrations are sent throughout the room and can be felt throughout your body.  These vibrations have been known to restore balance and harmony and have beneficial effects to both your mind and body.  Most people experience a very relaxed state and a feeling of well-being.

Students will then return to their painting stations where we will continue to explore our paints, following some mark-making prompts and then allowing the process to take over.

At the end of the session, students will leave relaxed, with a renewed spirit and inspiration to continue to create.

What to bring:  The supply fee will include ALL supplies needed for the workshop.  Students will take home the supply kit to continue their journey after class.

The supply kit includes:

Paints - Golden Paints and Daler Rowney Inks will be used to provide color.

A Stabilo 8046 water-soluable pencil, a black Micron Pen, and a gel pen will be used for mark-making.  Three brushes (large, medium and small), and several other items to help create unique marks to allow for self-expression.

Please dress comfortably and wear your "painting" clothes - acrylic paints do not come off when dry.

Students may also bring pillows and/or a yoga mat if they would like to lie on the floor during the singing bowls.

PS:  Snoring is allowed!

No art experience necessary!
