VIRTUAL:  Sketching the Floral Landscape in Watercolor

Susan Giannantonio

Tuesday afternoons

June 18, 25, July 2, 9

1:00 - 3:00pm

$120 members/$160 non-members

Back by popular demand…Bring out the unusual tools (flowers, stems, leaves, sticks) plus a few standards (brushes) and discover that your garden, itself, provides amazing potential to create botanical watercolor elements! Learn to create loose, gestural, colorful watercolor flowers with plants. This is great practice for both studio and plein air painting.

Suitable for any skill level; accomplished drawing skills not necessary.

Links to a video recording of each session will be provided, should you miss a class or want to review a session. Links remain available for 120 days.

Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

Supply List:

Watercolors

An array of flowers, twigs, grass & leaves—use what you have available. Borrow from neighbors, from nearby walkways, etc.

Sketchbook size paper—9 x 12 or ¼ sheets up to 16 x 20 or ½ sheets

Watercolor or Inktense pencils (optional)

Soapy water in a small basin
