In this class we will learn about values, color temperature, layering, shadows and background to create energetic florals that are lush with luminous color. Whether you like daisies, roses, orchids or tulips, we will cover lessons that work with any flowers whether in a garden setting or arranged in a vase. We will work on a painting together, building from basic shapes and colors, working through shadows to create depth, finishing with details to give interest and focus to your work. Then I will work individually with you, painting a floral of your choice, building shapes, shadows and details to make an original painting. The piece we work on together will focus on different colors, subject matter and techniques than in the previous Flower Painting I class, so there is still plenty to learn if painting flowers is your thing.
