MONTHLY PAINT-IN:  Learning Aquabord! with Daniela Werneck

Daniela Wernick's “Girl With the Popcorn DressSaturday, April 7; 9:30 am-3:30 pm  (set-up 9:00-9:30)

Join Daniela Werneck for the April 7th paint-in.  Daniela is an award winning artist and a member of the Texas Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, and The Portrait Society of America!

Daniela loves using Aquaboard for her watercolor paintings and is eager to share her knowledge with us. She will show you the techniques for painting on Aquabord and discuss its special properties and differences. She will show us how to put a drawing on it and then how to wet it and then paint on it.   She will also instruct us on how to finish the surface with fixative and varnish.

For this day of fun, Daniela will provide a simple still life for us to practice with.

Ampersand has graciously agreed to donate each attendee with an 8” x 10” Aquabord!   You need only to bring your regular supplies:  watercolor paints and brushes, paper to sketch on and take notes, tracing or printer paper, and two graphite pencils (2H and 6B).

Bring a sweater or light jacket and a sack lunch.
