Navigating color has often been a hit or miss intuitive proposition for painters.  Learning about color can open your work to new possibilities of expression.  Together we will master a clear understanding of hue, saturation, tint, shade, analogous, harmonious, and complimentary color and so much more.  Beyond the realm of primary and secondary colors are the rich and evocative varieties of tertiary colors - neutrals, grays, and blacks created from mixing primaries and secondaries. This course will cover the theoretical elements of color from Newton, Goethe, Itten and Albers and put them to the test with demonstrations and exercises that will bring you skill and confidence when exploring the psychological and aesthetic nature of color.
