In China, the plum blossom symbolizes the ethical qualities of strength, perseverance, and purity. Plum blossoms appear in the coldest months of the year, unhindered by frost and snow. The plum blossom is considered the national flower of China. In folk tradition the five round petals of the blossoms represent the five blessings: longevity, health, lasting happiness and natural death. The plum blossom is respected and loved by the Chinese people and is a favorite subject of painting. In this session, you will learn the magnificent of white plum blossom and simple birds through with simplicity of brushwork, depicts the ideas that unique perspective to expresses on oriental rice paper.  Peihong gives hands–on, step by step demonstrate attention to each student’s work. Welcome all skill levels.
