Painting in watercolor is very exciting and challenging. During this 5-day workshop, Brienne will demonstrate and explain her process in watercolor. While sharing her love for the medium, she will put particular emphasis on getting your values correct and connecting shapes in order to create strong and dynamic watercolor paintings. Brienne will walk students through steps for cropping photos, sketching a scene, creating monochromatic value studies with markers and color studies for creating strong compositions. Brienne emphasizes thinking in values rather than color. For the final day, Brienne will demonstrate methods for framing watercolors without glass.
