Want to see your living room or backyard through new eyes? This online class will allow you to explore your home through the fun and relaxing medium of urban watercolor sketching. Whether you can barely draw stick figures or you have a degree in fine arts, this class is for you! We will begin the class by learning about the rich history of urban watercolor sketching. We will then review the background and basics of ink sketching and watercolor painting and how they combine to form a powerful tool for connecting with and documenting the environment around you. With guidance from your instructor, you will do your sketches and paintings either indoors or in your backyard. We'll cover composition, value, proportion, perspective, basic color theory, texture, shadows, contour drawing, Japanese etegami, documentary reportage, and more!

Note: Please note that registration will close September 11 at noon Central Time. Please register early.
