VIRTUAL - What Do I Paint First? Order of Operations

You have the paints, the paper, the inspiration, but where to start? Being able to look at a photo, and determine a starting point, and steps to take you through completion is a skill that will give you the confidence to take on new subject matter. In this class we will take a number of different subject matters and break them down, using photos, demonstrations, and a list you can follow to break down the process for your own photos and sketches. This is meant to take the anxiety out of putting paint down and layering to create a successful finished painting. I will be doing a demonstration painting in the class to solidify what we have covered. We will take breaks and answer questions as they pop up to help you move forward with your own work. Note: Please note that registration will close Friday, August 28 at noon Central Time. Please register early. Handouts and ZOOM links will be mailed to all participants after registration closes.
