Welcome to 2021’s first IN PERSON Paint-in (9:30-3:00) – first since the beginning of the Covid quarantine in March 2020!! The September 11, 2021 schedule is as follows: 9:00-9:30 setup by attendees 9:30-3:00 class – lecture, demo, and painting 3:00-3:30 – cleanup Joanie Hughes, long time watercolor teacher at WAS-H will teach a loose approach to watercolor with pen, emphasizing techniques, value, and composition. This class will work with still life, interiors, and buildings with accompanied demonstrations and individual attention to each student. If you have any favorite photo, bring a photocopy of it to try these techniques. Supplies needed: Canson XL Watercolor 30 sheet pad paper 9X 12 - $7.20 Black waterproof Micron technical pens – size 01, 05, and 08. Varsity Piolet fountain pen $2.49 or any pen that will bleed One regular led or #2 pencil AND an eraser Watercolor round brush – small to medium size Watercolor paints of your choice - yellow, red, blue Watercolor pencils – yellow, red, blue, (optional) Paper towel roll and box of facial tissue Small ruler Plexiglass or sign board to use as a support for paper - aprox.11X14 Pro artist tape If you are interested in dip Pen – Medium nib and holder plus Indian ink This Paint-in will be IN PERSON. Bring a sack lunch, sweater or light jacket (in case the room temp is cool). We’ll provide snacks and coffee!
