This class is designed to learn and practice basics of portraits painting techniques in watercolor medium.  The focus will be placed upon drawing skill, painting technique, application of color and values studies. Good quality photo references are preferred to paint portraits; and subsequently, the class will learn to paint eyes, nose, mouth and ears in detail. The instructor will be conducting painting demos and individual attention to help learning the application of watercolor medium. To get the most out of this class, each student will be encouraged to practice in the class room as well as at home. This class is good for basic to advanced levels students.

Level: Beginner, Intermediate

Supplies needed:

• Graphite Pencils: HB, 2B (preferable)
  
• Watercolor brushes (natural squirrel hair preferred)
  
• A set of Watercolor paint of your choice, palette, (all related material)
  
• 140 Lb arches sheet ¼ size paper or pads 10” x 15”
• Light weight Drawing Board
  
• Eraser – masking tape – sharpener – etc
  

Note: Bring good quality portrait photos/prints (6x6 inches) of your choice as reference for drawing/painting.
