IN PERSON - Beginning Painting with Acrylic

You leave this class understanding different brushes, how to start and knowing when you’re finished; you’ll also practice basic painting techniques: drybrush, stippling, calligraphic brushstrokes, amorphous edges, hard edges, glazing, as you complete this painting.

You will also learn how to eliminate fear.

Level: Novice and Beginner

Materials:

Four (4) sheets Bristol paper, 8 x 11 inch

One 16 x12 inch watercolor paper or canvas

Assortment of brushes (at least one that is ½-inch or wider)

Artists tape

Paper towels

Palette or palette paper or freezer paper (to mix color)

Paints needed::

Quinacridone Magenta

Cadmium Yellow Light

Pthalocyanine Blue or Primary Cyan

Transparent Red Oxide

Ultramarine Blue

Titanium White OR preferably, Zinc White
