From historic coffee houses to corner dives, cafes are great sites for observing patrons absorbed in conversation, architecture elements and objects.  Artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Edward Hopper, Mary Cassatt and John Sloan explored Café Society to find the landscape, the figure study, and the still life all in one dynamic place.

This 6-week course will explore the subjects found there through a combination of preliminary sketches from life and photographic sources. Artists of all levels will be challenged in water media to discover their own interpretation of the unique imagery found in Café Society.

Levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

You may choose to work in either Acrylics or Watercolor.
