About our Juror and Demo Artist, Alison Hendry:
Originally from Montreal, Alison has painted from a young age, even as she pursued a career in healthcare. Upon moving to Houston, she began painting in watercolor and has subsequently won many awards, including the AME and IWE at WAS-H. Join in to hear her remarks on the February Show and to see a lively presentation of her beautiful painting style.
Last year's AME judge, Michael Holter, observed that Alison has "a mastery of painting fur, which is extremely challenging to paint well." Her paintings of animals have garnered numerous awards, and at February's General Membership Meeting, Alison will demonstrate her award-winning skill by painting a tiger.
