In the first section of this workshop, I will guide you through a simple, but strong under-drawing. This allows us to properly identify the characteristics of likeness and plan the changes of light as it passes over form — which, when utilized well, gives structural credibility in the finished painting. In the second section, we will discuss issues involving the changing temperatures of skin tone, edge quality, and light/shadow design. All while staging the work in color passes that make the process clear.
