Mixed Media Abstract - Be BOLD
Weekend Workshop July 29 & 30 9:30 am- 3:30 pm $170 Regular Tuition $150 WAS-H Members Tuition Explore the nature of abstract painting through mixed media, collage, and mark making to design and create works thatexpress the bold and exciting side of non-objective art. Artists will create at least two works on paper or panel using proven abstract compositions to start intuitively layering mixed media to bring depth and energy to the work, with critiques along the way.

Level: Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Supply List: Things to bring IF you have them…..Basic watercolor, water media or acrylic supplies. A variety of collage paper: magazines, wallpaper, gift wrap, tissue, even old paintings, photos -imagination is the key here. Gloss/g el medium or glue stick. Mark making tools including pencils, pens, stamps, brushes, stencils, and sponges are great. The instructors will have tools and materials available to borrow so no need to go shopping. Finally, at least two gesso coated paper or panel, dry and ready to paint on. We are asking for a $5 materials fee to cover costs.
