Prepare to fill your sketchbook with collages that may be 1) stand-alone works of art and/or 2) inspiration for larger paintings. No matter what subject matter you begin with, there are many options when it comes to abstraction. We will begin with textures and colors of the garden. You may prefer your paintings to retain the forms that recognizably represent your subject (flowers, leaves, grasses, etc.) or you may choose to allow your work to take on a life of its own. Either way, your marks, textures and color preferences will emerge and give voice to your own unique style.Links to a video recording of each session will be provided, should you miss a class or want to review a session.
