Artists will create Surreal images by using techniques such as:

· Apophenia: tendency to perceive a connection or pattern out of unrelated/random things.
· Pareidolia: recognizing images from random things. (finding images in clouds, etc. like faces/or animals.)
· Soufflage: Blowing paint/ink to inspire images.
· Aseminic Writing: No specific meaning/content.

Artists have used these techniques for inspiration since the dawn of time. This class is in the spirit of the surrealist who made art-making a game.

All supplies included in the supply fee ($10), however, students may bring supplies they prefer to use – such as watercolor pencils, gel pens, etc.
