Chinese Brush Painting -

Birds of Texas

Peihong Endris

Four Thursday afternoons

July 11, 18, 25, and Aug 1

1:00 - 4:00pm

$220 Tuition/$180 members

Birds give life to a painting of a rather static branch, or tree, and can, therefore, be painted in quiet, indistinct way. Alternatively, the bird can form the main element of the painting and, as such, will be required to demonstrate rather more of its own character.

In this class, you will learn to use the basic brush techniques to paint the Birds of Texas (Goldfinch, Bluebirds, Warbler…), or you can bring pictures of your favorite birds and instructor will teach you to use minimum brushstrokes to express it.
