This course is designed to paint the beauty of nature as you learn to capture the world around you through landscape watercolor painting! In this immersive course, you’ll explore the exciting challenges and rewards of painting landscapes from photo references. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced artist, this class will teach you to translate the natural world onto paper with fluidity, light, and color. In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of plein air painting, including composition, perspective, and light. Learn techniques for creating atmospheric landscapes with watercolors; develop your color mixing and layering skills to reflect the changing elements of nature. Discover how to incorporate movement and energy into your landscape compositions.

Student Supply List:

Graphite Pencils: HB, 2B (preferable)

Watercolor brushes : natural squirrel hair/soft synthetic )

Watercolor paint of your choice, pallet,

140 Lb arches ¼ size paper

Light weight Drawing Board

Eraser – masking tape

Note: Bring a few good quality rural photos/prints (6x6 inches) of your choice as reference photos
