Art for Seniors IN PERSON

Wednesday

April 22

9:30 am - Noon

Diann Zimmerman

Diann Zimmerman’s journey into art began in 2018 after a traumatic brain injury left her searching for relief. What started as a way to ease physical pain soon became something much deeper—a source of healing, joy, and connection. Through art, she discovered not only comfort but a calling.

Today, Diann is a thriving artist, educator, and founder of Watercolor – Beginners and Beyond, a vibrant Facebook group of over 335,000 artists from every corner of the globe. Her teachings—shared through Patreon and online challenges—are filled with warmth, encouragement, and a belief in fearless creativity.

Her mission is simple yet powerful: to empower artists of all skill levels to explore their creativity with courage and kindness, building a global community where artistic growth is nurtured through compassion, inspiration, and shared knowledge.

Her art—often playful, bold, and fearless—is a reflection of the optimism she brings to everything she does, from brushstroke to community leadership.

Each Wednesday we host an art gathering for Seniors.  This is a friendly and supportive group - all levels are welcome to join and there is no fee for this class however, online registration is required to participate.

Students bring their own supplies (paper, paints, brushes, paper towels, etc.) - only water-media please.

This weekly event is a community outreach to seniors 55+ only.

Safety Alert: Individuals attending this activity should be aware that they require the ability to safely descend stairs in an emergency.
