Week 1 & 2: Create energetic, gestural impressions of the garden with quick studies. Use those studies to compose sketchbook collages that will serve as great reference material for future paintings. Some, in fact, will often stand alone as complete and successful compositions. You will have never had such fun filling your sketchbook! Week 3 & 4: Create paintings and scale up using sketches and collage materials as reference. We will look at various tool options to scale up to larger, energy-filled paintings inspired by sketchbook collages. Links to a video recording of each session will be provided, should you miss a class or want to review a session. Links remain available for 120 days.
